This week, I created five new posts on my twitter account. Three of them were solutions that I researched for the problem of people hating crows in my Advocacy Project. The other two were counterarguments that people may have against both the problems and solutions section in my Advocacy Project.

Additionally, I checked out a few of my classmates twitter feeds and liked and commented on their posts.

Researching Solutions and Posting Them

I started off my research by asking Chat GPT: "what are some solutions to people negatively perceiving crows?". This helped me to first gain a quick understanding of what solutions there are in this problem. From there, I looked at numerous organizations that I knew advocated for crows. Organizations were the best places to find solutions to this problem, because they strongly advocate for my species to get the respect it deserves.

My favorite organization that advocated for crows was Creature Conserve. Their page for crows gave numerous solutions to the problem of people mistreating crows, including protecting crows by giving them more green spaces in our cities, shown in the tweet to the right.

A solution that I really liked was done by the MSPCA-Angell organization. They proposed much more humane solutions to getting rid of crows in farms, rather than killing them, shown in one of my tweets.

Counterarguments and Posting Them

My last two tweets were counterarguments. The first one, pictured left, focused on the fact that many people believe that crows do not deserve any of our respect because they are "nuisances" and "pests".

The second counterargument I posted was based on the people who are against giving crows conservation areas, because they make the argument that crows are an already thriving species, so they don't need any conservation efforts.

Looking at Classmates Feeds

Lastly, I looked at my classmates twitter feeds. It was fun to see what everyone else is focusing on and learning about in this class. One tweet that stood out to me was by Bailey J., who posted about the awful conditions of pet stores for puppies. I think the information provided in the tweet really stuck with me because it was so heartbreaking.
