This week on twitter, I created six new tweets that identified problems American Crows face. To write my tweets, I used ChatGPT, research articles and websites, and crow organizations.

I also have been really enjoying creating tweets for this class! It has been fun to take advanced research and put it into short sentences that are engaging for those who come across them!

Using ChatGPT

My first two tweets were based on questions I asked ChatGPT about the challenges that crows are currently facing. The first challenge that I found from ChatGPT was the constant mistreatment of crows by human beings. I believe that this is an urgent issue for crows, so I decided to post about it, pictured to the right. This post received quite a lot of attention, showing how important this issue is for many, so I will likely write my Advocacy Project on it.

For my second tweet, ChatGPT informed me of the habitat loss that crows suffer from. I made sure to emphasize how crows were suffering from this, to enhance the problem and make people care more about this issue.

Using Research Articles/Websites

The next two tweets that I built were based off of the research I did on the problems that crows are currently facing. I found this first website page a while back during my research on crows during week two. This page about the killing of crows really stuck with me, so I decided to use it on my third tweet, pictured left, while also emphasizing that we must do something to change these killings.

The fourth tweet that I created was based off a research article by Jon Giffin, about the Hawaiian crow species that is completely extinct in the wild. I thought to include this research into my tweets because it is an article written by scientists, so we can trust their findings and thoughts on the issue.

Using Organizations

These lasts two tweets were based on organizations that advocated for crows. I found my first organization, The National Audubon Society by looking through twitter and finding accounts that advocated for bird conservation. The organization has a page on American Crows and what their habitats look like and what problems they face, which is all described in my fifth tweet.

The second organization that I used for my sixth tweet was the same one from my third tweet, The Crow Society. Like I mentioned above, I found this website earlier in my research process, and decided to save the website because I found it so informational. I thought that this community of people who appreciate crows was a nice find, and I wanted to share.
